Sunday Stones

Hi Gang,

I have a pretty obscure tune from "The Stones" its called  'The under assistant west coast promotion man" Wow what a title.

This was on the B side of 'Satisfaction" which was released in 1965, I doubt if anybody ever played the flip side...

The song was credited to "Nanker Phelge" can you tell who or what that was? (answer tomorrow) anyway, the song is about US promotion man George Sherlock, he was the guy who was assigned to travel with them. They really hated that, so they wrote this tributeSmile for him. After a while they found that he was OK and didn't mind having him around. I know that this song is included on the compilation CD set called "The London Years", I have never heard them play this tune live, there are however, a bunch of bands that cover this one...I guess they have all had a "Promotion Man"

See Ya"ll Tomorrow
