How are you getting on with your Gretsch? I really like mine, but Im having a bit of trouble playing past the 12th fret. Also I tend to have to get used to it after playing my Strat or Tele.. Im sorry to say that this is not my "go to" axe. Hope your doing better

Hi Bill, well I can't say that it is my main guitar either, but I couldn't pass on this one. I would say that my Strat is like my wife, my Tele is like my school teacher and my Gretsch is like my mistress. I never expected the Tele to become my main axe or my workhorse but that's what happened. I use it to practice my guitar lessons at home, I bring it to my guitar lessons, I use it to fool around. The Strat is used more for the happy moments and the Gretsch is a goal in itself, something I have to try to master because I love it so much. So it seems that we're paddling in the same direction. And yes, it is hard to play pass the 12th fret, but hey, I'll find a way. See ya.
