The shortcomings of the Ibanez TS-9 circuit have disappeared and in their place is a warm, sweet overdrive with more than you could ask for!

The Keeley Modified Ibanez TS-9 Tube Screamer is here. First, Robert Keeley has replaced the JRC4558 IC with the TI4558, a more natural and musical sounding IC than the JRC. Next up, the Keeley TS-9 Mod Plus takes care of that annoying bass cutoff that the stock Ibanez TS-9 has. The Keeley TS-9 gives you full bass response. Sweet! After that Robert Keeley tackled the gain circuit. The Keeley TS-9 Mod Plus has the ability to clean up a lot more than the stock Ibanez Tube Screamer. Not only that, but the Keeley Mod Plus goes the other way and gives you twice the gain of the original when you crank it! Don't fret, all the original Ibanez Tube Screamer tones are still available with the in between settings. After that, the output resistors were changed from noisy carbon comps to metal film. This makes the Keeley Tube Screamer quieter and gives more fidelity. All the electrolytic coupling caps were replaced with metal film as well as the tone caps for improved fidelity. Robert Keeley also tackled the bypass circuit to keep your Tube Screamer from sucking (your tone that is) when bypassed.
